At Pacheiner’s “Homemade” is written with capital letters! Especially when it comes to baking strudels, tarts, etc. Our recipes have been passed on from generation to generation and prepared with love for you. Today we’d like to reveal to you the house recipe for the Original Pacheiner Chocolate Tart.

Ingredients for 12 Servings 

For the dough:
6 eggs
150g powdered sugar
1 package vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp. vanilla)
70g baking chocolate, melted
150g ground almonds

Beat egg yolks with powdered sugar, then add the melted chocolate. Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and add them to the dough alternating with the ground almonds. Bake for approximately 35 minutes at 160°C.

For the filling and topping:
100g baking chocolate
1/2ℓ whipping cream
50g prepared vanilla pudding

Whip the cream. Warm the chocolate to room temperature, strain the cold pudding, stir it with the chocolate, and fold in the prepared whipped cream. Use this to fill and coat the cake.
